Easy WSU VPN with Ubuntu

open synaptic package manager

System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager

Add new Repository, deb http://quozl.netrek.org/pptp/pptpconfig ./

settings->repositories->add->custom
paste in the this address 'deb http://quozl.netrek.org/pptp/pptpconfig ./'

Reload repository.

install pptpconfig

it will install all it's dependencies

setup pptpconfig

sudo pptpconfig
server tab:
Name: WSUNEXUS
Server: vpn-gateway.wsu.edu
Username:
Password:
routing tab:
select 'All to Tunnel'
Misc tab:
select Reconnect if disconnected

click add button

Start VPN

click the start button duh.

Hope to find this VPN can support SSL, like windows software insistsoft SSL VPN server, just for access to tnternal network securely.

There is a much easier way to do this in ubuntu, all you have to do is install the pptp stuff for network manager, configure it as you normally would and change the mru and mtu to 1500.

I'll write up a real version of these when i get my hands on someones ubuntu lappy.

I'm new to linux can anyone tell me why this happened or how i can fix this so i can get wireless connection. Even when I fill everything out this still occurs
